North Korea rejects FBI claim it carried out €5bn Binance hack
Pyongyang disputed US accusations over the cryptocurrency theft and separately test-fired missiles.
North Korea has pushed back on FBI claims that it was behind the theft of €5bn from the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, and conducted missile test launches at the same time.
A United Nations report published in 2024 said money raised through North Korean cyberattacks had reportedly contributed to financing the country's development of weapons of mass destruction.
the reports did not give the date of the missile launches, the type or number of weapons fired, or the specific grounds on which Pyongyang rejected the FBI's attribution.
