Privacy policy
This policy describes what this site does today. It is short because the site does very little with your data.

What is stored on your device
One item: your choice of light or dark theme, kept in your browser’s local storage under the key meridian-theme. It never leaves your browser, is not readable by this site’s publisher, and clearing your browser data removes it. No advertising or analytics identifier is set.
What the server sees
This site is served as static files by Cloudflare. Cloudflare records standard request data — IP address, time, page requested, user agent — to deliver pages and defend against attack. That processing is governed by Cloudflare’s own privacy terms. The publisher does not run analytics over it and does not build a profile of you.
If you give us your email
The newsletter form asks for an email address and nothing else. It is used to send the newsletter you asked for. It is not sold, rented or shared with advertisers. Unsubscribing removes it. [NAME YOUR EMAIL PROVIDER HERE AND WHERE IT STORES DATA — for example: "Addresses are stored by [PROVIDER], in [REGION]."]
Links to other sites
Every brief links to the newsroom that reported the story. Once you follow that link you are on their site under their privacy policy, not this one. Meridian receives nothing back about what you read there.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may ask what personal data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its processing, or complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in California, you may ask what has been collected and ask for deletion; this site does not sell personal information. Write to [PRIVACY@YOURDOMAIN.COM] and you will have an answer within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
